Hi, everyone! I know that talking about finals isn’t the most *popular* thing to do, but believe it or not, they are quickly approaching. It’s beautiful outside and we’re all exhausted, so I get it — nobody wants to spend their time studying or stressing about important exams. Here are some tips for how to keep your spare time and ALSO your sanity when it comes down to that last week:

Start early.

Do a little bit of a research paper, look at one chapter, or look at what you may have to do in the next couple weeks. If you break down your assignments, things will seem a lot more manageable.

Schedule in breaks.

There’s no reason to lock yourself in Cook Library for ten hours straight. Take a walk to get some coffee, enjoy the sunshine, or get dinner with a friend. It’ll stop your brain from feeling so exhausted.

Be present in class.

If you’re going to be sitting in class, you might as well be present. It’s pretty amazing what you absorb when you’re just listening to the professor, so make the most of your time.

Take time for yourself.

Don’t check your e-mail or Blackboard. Just watch some Netflix, get some exercise, sleep, or take a bubble bath. Breathe.

Count down the days until break.

Because we’re all doing that anyway, right?
