As we are just about to depart for the Thanksgiving holiday, immediately following this short weekend break comes preparation for our favorite time of the year…FINALS!
I’m sure just hearing the word “finals” makes a few of us want cringe, but instead of being over-dramatic and feeling like this guy…….
I’m here to give you all some insightful advice on how to ace your exams, all while eliminating stress and anxiety.
DON’T WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE!
Yes, you hear it all the time. Procrastination will eat you alive in the end! At one point in time, we all have waited to the day of, or even hours, before to complete an assignment or prepare for an exam. We got our grade back, and lets just say it didn’t go too well. We have about two weeks until final exams begin, so delegate a few hours each day in preparation for your toughest exams.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR READING DAY!
Towson so graciously blessed us this year with a reading day! This is the first time we have a day dedicated for studying, so it would be in your best interest to utilize it. Don’t sleep in, Netflix & Chill, or go out the night before. Make your way to Cook Library and camp out productively!
GO TO OFFICE HOURS!
Professors truly appreciate students that take advantage of office hours. Having over 70 students, professors remember those who take time out of their days to come to speak directly to them. It shows you are invested in your education, and truly care about your success in their class.
Try it out! For me, gummies work! Find your favorite snack, and make studying interactive, and fun. You are more compelled to want to finish studying, when there is something waiting for you in the end.
SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!
Take a minute to consider how far you’ve come from the beginning of the semester. We started in August, and now we are here reaching Finals Week, only two weeks away from the end of semester. You can easily get through two more weeks, knowing you’ve completed 4 months worth of work this semester.
